This document highlights the main issues related to savings mobilization and gives examples of savings schemes in various microenterprise programs, including the Grameen Bank and several ACCION affiliates. It provides a rationale for engaging in savings mobilization among low-income populations and suggests guidelines for structuring a savings product in a microenterprise program.
